Shehzada - 1972



 Introduction :

Shehzada (English Translation : The Prince) is a 1972 Bollywood drama film directed by K. Shankar, set during the British Raj. The film stars Rajesh Khanna and Raakhee as the lead pair and supporting cast included Veena, Pandari Bai and Karan Dawan. The music was composed by R.D.Burman.

Summary :

Rajesh's parents got separated due to his grandmother's intervention before he was born. His aim is to get his mother the place and respect that she deserved in his father's family, without which he is not willing to return to his grandmother which is what she wanted. However his grandmother is not willing to do so. More time passes, Rajesh gets married to Champa and he is put behind the bars for a crime he never committed, leaving his pregnant wife behind. When he is released after some years, he is shocked to see his wife living with his grandmother and refusing to go back to his mother's place.
